The download provides the StarOffice[tm] 8 Software Development Kit (SDK) and accompanying documentation as a single download. Note that you will need to have the StarOffice 8 software installed to use the StarOffice 8 SDK. Please refer to StarOffice 8 Office Suite for more information on system requirements, platform support, and language support.

The StarOffice 8 Software Development Kit (SDK) includes the following components:

Developer's Guide with about 1,000 pages
XML file format specification
API reference documentation
Development and deployment tools and utilities
Easy to build code samples for the Java programming language, C++, StarOffice Basic and OLE

To download the software:
