System Requirements
Minimum Supported Configuration
  • A server based on UltraSPARC or x86 processors (2 or more CPUs recommended)
  • Disk Space: 95 MB for installation; 50-100 MB per-user swap space
  • Memory: 20-50 MB RAM per user depending on applications
  • At least one Ethernet interface installed on the Sun Ray server
  • Sun Ray virtual display clients

Operating Systems
  • Solaris 10 OS 05/08 or higher
  • Solaris 10 OS 05/08 or higher with Trusted Extensions
  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5 update 1
  • SuSE LINUX Enterprise Server 10, Service Pack 1

Sun Ray Connector for Windows OS
  • Windows XP Professional
  • Windows 2003 R2 Enterprise Edition Service Pack 2
  • Windows Vista

Sun Desktop Manager Minimum Supported Configuration (Server)
  • Solaris 10 OS (SPARC, x86 Platform Editions)
  • Disk Space: Up to 200 MB
  • Memory: 1 GB RAM recommended

Sun Ray Software Multimedia Minimum Supported Configuration
  • Windows Media Player 10 or 11
  • Multimedia Redirection Component (SunMMR)
  • Sun Ray 2, Sun Ray 2FS, or Sun Ray 270 virtual display clients
  • Windows XP or Windows Server 2003
  • MPEG-4 part10 or Windows Media Video 9 media formats

Note: If you access terminal server functionality provided by Microsoft operating system products, you need to purchase additional licenses to use such products. Consult the license agreements for the Microsoft operating system products you are using to determine which licenses you must acquire.
