Wide Area Network Connectivity
Solstice X.25 9.2 software is an implementation of the ITU-T X.25 Recommendation. Solstice X.25 software communicates across public and private X.25 networks with other systems running X.25 and can be used with both leased and dial-up lines.

What Solstice X.25 Offers
Solstice X.25 9.2 software is a complete X.25 platform. It provides X25 WAN connectivity, a Packet Assembler Disassembler server for terminal to host communication, and an X.25 development environment.

It includes:

  • Dial-up access for remote users to central resources
  • Transparent LAN to LAN connectivity over public and private Packet Switched Data Networks, providing transparent access to resources and applications
  • An interface to the IP routing software delivered with the Solaris Operating Environment, allowing IP to be routed across X.25 links.
  • The ability to develop and run custom WAN applications and services over X.25
  • Similar features and performance of the Solaris Operating Environment (SPARC Platform Edition) and x86. Applications developed on Solstice X.25 software for SPARC platforms can be recompiled to run on the x86 version of the product. X.25 servers need not be dedicated, freeing them for use for other functions.
