Outline of criteria for entry into Solaris Ready Program for systems.

Goals of the Program include qualifying products for the Solaris Ready Program, promoting customer awareness, and enabling identification and selection of high quality products for Sun's Solaris OS.

A System consists of a complete computer capable of running Solaris OS. Sun's Solaris Ready Program shall add the additional criteria to System level products.

Company Criteria:

1. Channel distribution, service and support in geographies worldwide.
2. Company, Marketing, and Technical Contact information.
3. Agreement to support newer versions of Solaris OS in a timely manner (where applicable).
4. Valid Sun Technology License and Distribution Agreement in good standing.

Product Criteria:

1. Meet the Solaris Ready Platform Support, Installation Criteria, Additional Criteria as listed below.
2. Include appropriate cables as required.
3. Product Information, Name/Model, Version, Description.
4. Documentation for updates and patches on company website or CD-ROM.
5. Include sufficient packaging materials and other materials unique to the product.

Product Support:

1. Systems shall be supported in the geographies into which they are sold.
2. Agrees to work to resolve issues cooperatively with Sun and /or directly with the end user.

Platform Support:

1. System products may be tested with SunVTS technology or Sun HCTS. The testing shall involve software exercise of system level components. The duty cycle shall be applicable for the product type.

Installation Criteria:

1. Install the currently available Solaris OS and test with SunVTS technology or Sun HCTS. Testing results shall be returned to Sun for review.

Additional Criteria:

1. Systems meets the applicable and/or required regulatory and agency approvals in the geographies in which the products are sold.
