Do the SSC's have remote connectivity? Do we need to send an engineer to a Sun site?
A:
The Sun Solution Centers do provide the capability of remote connectivity through various protocols such as VPN (virtual private network). However, we find that having some level of customer representation at our sites helps to speed turnaround and to ensure that we are meeting your expectations.

How do you protect our data integrity and security?
A:
Each customer engagement has a dedicated secured firewall, DMZ and unique IP addresses, which prevents access by other users. At the completion of the engagement, we dismantle the environment.

Does Sun allow interoperability with Dell or HP?
A:
Yes. The Sun Solution Centers are all about optimizing the performance of heterogeneous environments. In a typical interoperability engagement, a customer will bring in third party hardware and independent hardware vendors to structure an end-to-end architecture. In short, the Sun Solution Centers welcome non-Sun hardware as part of each customer engagement.

How do I request an engagement with the Sun Solution Centers?

Contact your Sun account manager or systems engineer. He or she will be able to work with you to schedule the service you need at a time that works for you.
