Sun Solution Center: McLean, Virginia

Overview

The McLean Sun Solution Center (SSC), located 8 miles west of Washington, D.C provides a solutions based demonstration and proof of concept (POC) experience for our customers.

The McLean SSC was designed to enable customers to pre-test and integrate business processes, applications and information affecting virtually every aspect of their business in a live environment. Customers using the facility can create proofs-of-concept and end-to-end prototypes to help ensure lower costs, less complexity and a higher level of manageability. Through this type of collaboration, Sun and it's Partners are helping our customers speed time to deployment and more quickly realize a return on their IT investment.

The center provides:

• Briefings - custom built customer focused presentations that provide information about our solutions and capabilities used to solve business problems.


• Solution Demonstrations - a complete array of hardware and software products are ready for a custom demonstration.

  • Mitel (Voice over IP)


• Proof-of-Concepts (PoC) - we can prototype a business solution matched to your customer unique business needs. The purpose of a PoC is to determine the proper combination and specific product versions of systems, software, and services needed for a solution and/or to see if the proposed solution is viable. This service leverages business reference scenarios developed through Sun's experience connecting the world to the Internet.


• Performance benchmarking, using both equipment in the McLean SSC and equipment for our other Centers around the globe.
