Sun Immersion Special Interest Group (Sun I-SIG)
A Sun Microsystems Inc. sponsored community dedicated to advancing the state of open source technology and content for virtual worlds and gaming in education. It is open to institutions, commercial organizations, faculty and students interested in working with Sun in learning and sharing practical experiences in open immersion technologies.

Sun Preservation and Archiving Special Interest Group (Sun PA-SIG)
Launched in October 2007, the Sun PASIG brings together global leaders in government, broadcasting, education, and library services to share best practices for digital archiving.

Java Architecture Special Interest Group (Sun JA-SIG)
The purpose of the JA-SIG is to develop a global academic community of interest among practitioners and institutions, and to inform that community of international activities, projects, and opportunities in the field of open technology architectures and systems in higher education.

Sun Identity Special Interest Group (Sun ID-SIG)
A customer-driven forum providing an opportunity to exchange practical and technical knowledge and experiences with other Sun identity customers. As a member of Sun ID-SIG, you will also stay tuned to the latest news, views, and identity buzz from Sun, partners and customers.

HPC Consortium
The HPC Consortium is a technical computing user group meeting for Sun's academic and research customers. Biannual meetings are held in conjunction with U.S. and European supercomputing conferences.
