About This Solution
Sun's Message Security Solution features the self-updating Symantec Brightmail AntiSpam software preloaded on Sun CoolThreads servers powered by Sun UltraSPARC T1 and T2 processors. Spam filtering is inherently a multithreaded workload, and CoolThreads servers are uniquely suited for the task, delivering up to 64 simultaneous compute threads. No other server can deliver as much antispam compute power, in as little space and using so little power.

Is the Symantec Brightmail software license included in these
configurations?
A:
No. While the software will be loaded onto Sun systems in Sun's
factories, the licenses must be purchased separately from Sun
Professional Services or from Symantec. Afterwards, the license keys must be
downloaded by the customer at the customer site.
Licenses are highly variable, depending on the number of
users to be supported and other factors, so all sales are per specific customer
requirements, and can be quoted by Partner sales and Symantec.

- Choose blade servers if you require:
- Simplified maintenance, with quick and easy addition of new servers
- High density deployment, with at least 4 servers and expansion to 10 or more servers in the future

- Choose Rack servers if you require:
- Servers of different compute capacity (1-processor, 2-processor, 4-processor, 8-processor)
- Only a few servers (less than 4) in one location
