Sun StorageTek 9900 Virtual Partition Manager allocates storage resources based on business requirements and individual priorities, and allows you to update the allocation as needed, helping ensure the most efficient allocation of resources and enabling organizations to meet service-level agreements. To the host, partitions appear as individual, independently managed storage systems. Access to partitions is secure because administrators can only configure and manage resources within their assigned partitions.
