The Sun StorageTek 3120 SCSI array is a low-profile, condensed, modular storage disk array. It's 4-drive capacity delivers more than a terabyte in a compact 1U form factor. This cost-effective array is ideal for expanding the disk capacity of small servers—or for use as a redundant boot device that can be shared between two servers.

As a high density, 4-drive 1U array, it supports hundreds of gigabytes of storage and redundant host connections. In fact, it allows you to grow your capacity to 64 drives in one Sun StorageTek rack (16 arrays x 4 drives).

The Sun StorageTek 3120 SCSI Array offers data transfers of up to 320 MB/sec per SCSI channel. It lets you grow capacity and I/O performance in single-drive increments. You can grow the storage throughput performance (bandwidth) by configuring the array for dual-channel operation. These features are ideal for bandwidth-intensive Internet applications such as web hosting, video streaming, mail, and messaging.

Sun StorageTek Configuration Service (SSCS) software is a Java application that combines storage configuration, maintenance, and monitoring tools into a single, easy-to-use package. It gives you centralized administration through terminal, GUI, and web interfaces, simplifying management and reducing cost. For monitoring and event notification, we included Sun StorageTek Diagnostic Reporter software.
