Support Accounts

Q:
Will former CRC users need to create a new account at Sun or will their CRC login work?
A:
CRC accounts were not migrated and customers will need to have a Sun Online Account to access entitled content. Sun Online Accounts can be created at https://reg.sun.com/register. Upon creating the account and logging in, select "Change Contract" and enter in your Sun contract to gain access to entitled content.

Q:
Where can former CRC content can be located?
A:
Former CRC content can be located via the Storage support site. From here (or any Sun Support site) login to your Sun Online Account and select "Sun StorageTek Support" from the support frame on the right hand side of the page.
Q:
I used to find Manuals, FAQs, Tech Tips, Notices and Bulletins, and Code for current StorageTek products. Where do I find this now?
A:
All product content can be located in the "SunSolve: Sun StorageTek Products& section on the Storage support site
Q:
The provided search does not return the results I expected.
A:
You can modify or refine product content searches by selecting a different "collection" on the SunSolve search bar or by selecting "Advanced Search" in the Search Resources on the right side of the page.

Subscription Services

Q:
Will users that subscribed to Proactive Problem Notification (PPN) and High Impact Pervasive (HIPER) notifications still receive the notices?
A:
These services were integrated into existing Sun notification subscription services. Customers will be required to subscribe to the Sun notification services. Proactive Problem Notification (PPN) alerts migrated to Sun Alert notifications, and High Impact Pervasive (HIPER) notifications migrated to the SunSolve Patch Club Report. Upon logging in to your Sun Online Account these notification services can be registered at https://subscriptions.sun.com.
Q:
Can I subscribe to updates for specific products?
A:
Not at this time. Sun Alert and SunSolve Patch Club Reports cover updates for all Sun products on a weekly basis. You will need to locate products within these notices to identify updates for specific products.
