Sun Integrated Lights Out Manager (ILOM) is the leading Service Processor (SP) architecture available across both Sun x64 and Sun Cool Threads SPARC servers, Sun Server blades and blade chassis. Drawing on and leveraging Sun's extensive experience in managing and monitoring systems in enterprise environments, ILOM delivers fully featured rich control of the systems, locally and remotely, ensuring there is a powerful management and monitoring solution to meet the diverse requirements of all data center users. A complete implementation of ILOM is included at no additional cost with all ILOM-based systems. Everything is standard.

Strong support for mainstream Systems Management protocols and open standards ensures ILOM integrates simply and easily with leading System Management platforms such as Sun xVM Ops Center and popular 3rd party management and monitoring frameworks.

ILOM is embedded into new Sun platforms, and comes complete with network and serial ports to provide rich and secure out of band remote management and configuration. In addition ILOM is accessible directly from mainstream host operating environments including Sun Solaris, Linux and Microsoft Windows.
