Sun is continually testing and developing third party system management tools to ensure easy integration of our systems into customers' existing management environments. Some of the key system management ISV tools and their support for Sun systems is detailed below: IntegrationsSun Servers Integration 1.1 for Altiris Deployment Solution 6.9Sun Servers Integration for Altiris Deployment Solution 6.9 provides you with a customized automation environment and the Sun Deployment Wizard, which is an easy to use graphical wizard which simplifies the process of deploying your Sun x64 servers using Altiris DS 6.9. The Sun Deployment Wizard helps you to construct deployment jobs that can then be exported to Altiris DS 6.9 and used to deploy your Sun x64 servers. Sun Servers Integration for Altiris Deployment Solution 6.9 provides tasks that can be used in the jobs, such as partitioning and formating disks, deploying Windows Server 2003 or 2008, configuring ILOM service processors and so on. IPMItool 1.8.10.3
This release contains both 32bit and 64bit Linux RPMs, Solaris packages and Windows executables. The Windows executables support both the Microsoft IPMI Driver, included with Windows Server 2003 R2 and Windows Server 2008, and the Sun IPMI System Management Driver (ISM), for use with Windows Server 2003 without R2. The former is utilized with the "-I ms" parameter and the latter with the "-I ism" parameter. Download: Sun IPMI System Management Driver for Server 2003 prior to R2
This driver is to be used only when R2 release for Windows 2003 SP1 or SP2 is not installed. The R2 release includes an IPMI driver as part of the Hardware Monitoring add-on that should be used instead, when available. This driver can be used with ipmitool or ipmievd; see the ipmitool entry above for more information. Download: Sun ILOM Common SNMP MIBs
