Alliance Overview
Infobright partnered with MySQL in 2006 to integrate the MySQL database into Brighthouse. The integration with MySQL database allows you to leverage the mature, tested BI tools (like Business Objects, Cognos, Pentaho, and SAS) and industry standard interfaces (like ODBC, JDBC, C API, PHP, Ruby, Perl, and Python) with which you're already familiar. You can also benefit from MySQL database's legendary ease of use and low maintenance requirements. Since Brighthouse resolves most queries without accessing I/O, it can optimally leverage the extreme CPU and memory capacity of Sun's Intel Xeon processor-based systems.
Solutions At a Glance
Brighthouse — Infobright's Brighthouse analytic data warehouse software achieves breakthrough performance, while eliminating the need for indices, data partitions, and other physical data structures. Instead of using brute-force hardware power to increase query performance, Brighthouse uses knowledge about the data itself to intelligently isolate the relevant information and quickly return results. While other data warehouse solutions require complex, expensive hardware infrastructure to provide high performance and scalability, the Infobright solution scales up to 30 TB of data using a single server. Brighthouse offers the following benefits:
- Enables users to ask any question at any time
- Reduces data footprint, lowering storage costs
- Integrates with MySQL, enabling you to leverage existing technology and expertise
- Significantly simplifies data warehouse maintenance and management, reducing the burden on the datacenter and IT
