The SAP Services Map is designed to be used as a tool to help visualize, plan, implement and support a coherent, integrated and comprehensive information technology solutions within a company of any size. The SAP Services Map helps identify the key needs and processes along the life cycle management of an information technology solutions.

To make it more convenient to use, SAP has broken the SAP Services Map into two levels:

  • Level I gives a broad picture of the major requirements and processes for managing an information technology solution. The processes are arranged into categories representing the major life cycle phases: evaluation, implementation, and operation/continuous improvement.
  • Level II views provide a more detailed view of the specific activities, and references the available services, methodology and tools that address these requirements. Links to each point are symbols that indicate how SAP and Sun's services fulfill these service requirements.
