Prerequisites
To succeed fully in this course, students should be able to perform basic systems administration tasks, including: - Edit files using an editor available in the Solaris Operating System (Solaris OS)
- Execute commands using a command-line interface
- Use man pages
- Identify, locate, download and install patches
- Administer volumes using the VERITAS Volume Manager (VxVM) software
- Explain the following terms:
- Random array of independent disks, or RAID (both hardware and software)
- Fibre Channel
- Storage area network (SAN)
