The Hitachi Universal Replicator for Mainframe course is a five-day ILT course that provides a detailed examination of the Hitachi Universal Replicator software for mainframes and its installation on the Hitachi TagmaStore Universal Storage Platform. The course presents the key features and benefits of the Universal Replicator software, along with the hardware and software specifications and components required to support and implement it in an IBM z/OS environment. Universal Replicator performance factors are examined, along with the architecture of data replication and journaling. The operational procedures include the use of Storage Navigator and Hitachi Business Continuity Manager software to perform data replication in a z/OS environment. In addition, 4x4 Extended Consistency Grouping, three data center cascade and multi-target operations, 3DC Delta Resynchronization, and the disaster recovery features of Universal Replicator and Business Continuity Manager are discussed.
