The Hitachi Protection Manager course is a four-day Instructor Led Training course that provides learners with in-depth technical knowledge about Hitachi Protection Manager software (version 5.7) while providing an overview of its features, benefits, and components. The course covers the hardware and software specifications and how Microsoft Exchange backups can be performed using the Volume Copy Shadow Service for the Windows 2003 framework. The course also provides the procedures to install and configure Protection Manager software in a Microsoft Windows 2003 environment. It familiarizes the learners with the new setup GUI feature. It provides detailed information about how to perform file and tape backup, restore, and recovery operations using Protection Manager software on a Microsoft Windows 2003 file system, Microsoft Exchange 2003/2007 server, and SQL 2000/2005 server. The lab portion of the course enables students to install, configure, and execute the Protection Manager software on both Microsoft Exchange, and SQL Server.
