This four day instructor-led advanced course provides an overview of virtualization, data migration and replication, and tiered and external storage; and explains the purpose and advantages of using Tiered Storage Manager software for managing external storage. The course provides hands on experience with Hitachi Virtual Partition Manager software, Hitachi Universal Volume Manager, Hitachi Dynamic Provisioning software, ShadowImage? Heterogeneous Replication software, and Hitachi Tiered Storage Manager (HTSM) software; including basic migration, advanced HTSM operations, and LUN Management. This advanced course requires experience with Enterprise BOS and basic knowledge of the standard HDS products, including ShadowImage, Universal Volume Manager, Tuning Manager, Virtual Partition Manager, and Tiered Storage Manager.
