Upon completion of the course, the learner should be able to: Describe the architecture and explain the principles of operation of the Hitachi Enterprise storage systems. Identify the Hitachi Enterprise models and components. Explain the Enterprise systems use of: FED/BED, Cache and Shared memory, Parity groups, Emulation, LDEV and LUN mapping. List and describe the software product offerings available on the Enterprise systems. Setup and configure Hitachi Device Manager software. Perform basic storage operations using Device Manager software. Perform Hitachi Cache Residency Manager operations. Implement volume management functions such as virtual. LUN and Logical Unit Size Expansion (LUSE). Use Hitachi Performance Monitor to analyze storage system performance.
