This course presents the technical aspects of the Sun StorageTek 6140 and 6540 products and how they relate to performance within a SAN topology. Students will have the opportunity to adjust tunable parameters to achieve optimal performance. Students will use various IO tools for the labs. This course is designed to teach the student the skills necessary to analyze input/output from servers and make changes to storage systems to optimize performance. The course concentrates on storage system configuration and tunable parameters.
