This four-day course package is a combination of the web-based Sun SPARC Enterprise MX000 Server Overview and Architecture course (WE-4110), the instructor-led Live Virtual Class (LVC) Sun SPARC Enterprise MX000 Server Administration course (VC-ES-411), and their associated web-based assessments (WGS-PREX-4110 and WGS-PREX-411). The web-based course is pre-requisite training to the instructor-led LVC course, and the assessments are a post-requisite to the courses and allows a student to assess their knowledge and skills. The Sun SPARC Enterprise MX000 Server Overview and Architecture course provides students with the skill set necessary to identify the features and architecture specifics of the Sun SPARC Enterprise MX000 servers. The Sun SPARC Enterprise MX000 Server Administration Lcourse provides students with the skill set necessary to administer the Sun SPARC Enterprise M4000/M5000/M8000/M9000/M9000+ servers. These skills include performing configuration and platform administration methodologies supported by Sun and being familiar with and using troubleshooting tools and techniques available within the Solaris Operating System (Solaris OS) relevant to this server line. The LVC is a dynamic and fully interactive online learning environment that features live teaching, collaboration, and instructor-assisted activities.The hands-on labs offered in this course involve accessing equipment remotely.

Sun SPARC Enterprise MX000 Server Administration (VC-ES-411)

This course is presented using Suns web-based Live Virtual Classroom. The LVC is a dynamic and fully interactive online learning environment that features live teaching, collaboration, and instructor-assisted activities.

The Sun SPARC Enterprise MX000 Server Administration course provides students with the skill set necessary to identify the features and architecture specifics of the Sun SPARC Enterprise M4000/M5000/M8000/M9000/M9000 with Expansion Cabinet servers. These skills include performing configuration and platform administration methodologies supported by Sun on these Sun servers; be familiar with and use troubleshooting tools and techniques available within the Solaris Operating System (Solaris OS relevant to this server line). The hands-on labs offered in this course may involve accessing equipment that resides at a location other than where the training is delivered. Students will not have physical access to this equipment.
