Prerequisites

To succeed fully in this course, students should be able to:

• Perform system administration on the Linux OE (Courses available: RH033 - Red Hat Linux Essentials and RH-131 - Red Hat Linux System)
  • OR
• Perform system administration on the Solaris OS (Courses available: SM-101 - Solaris Operating System Essentials for System Maintainers, SM-239 - Solaris System Administration and WS-2400: Introduction to the Solaris x86 Platform Specifics)
• Recognize components of PC hardware or similar systems (Course available: WET-4682: Rev B: Sun Fire V20z Server Maintenance and Software Installation and Configuration and WET-4683: Rev B: Sun Fire V40z Server Maintenance and Troubleshooting.
