Virtualization: Suns Story is a course that provides students with an overview of IT data center trends, an introduction to virtualization concepts, and Sun virtualization offerings. An overview is provided for the Sun virtualization and management products: Sun xVM Server, Sun xVM VirtualBox, and Sun xVM Ops Center, and the Sun virtualization point products: Solaris Containers, Solaris Logical Domains, Solaris Resource Manager, Solaris Trusted Extensions, Sun Virtual Desktop Infrastructure, Sun StorageTek Virtual Storage Manager, and Sun StorageTek Virtual Tape Library Plus. The Sun virtualization products have integrated the efficient Zetabyte File System (ZFS) filesystem released in the Solaris 10 Operating System to take advantage of ZFS pools, file systems, and volumes; enabling quick file system cloning, provisioning, and net installations.
