Instructor Certification Process

Core Technology Classes
"We covered a great deal of areas, all of which relate directly to the real-world implementations of a Solaris 8 network environment. I learned many ways to improve our Sun network."
Ben Acord, SchlumbergerSema
Core classes are based on the heart of technology of Sun Microsystems. They form the basic infrastructure for what we do. The revolutionary Java technology platform, the foundation for smart Web and networked services. The Solaris Operating System, helping your IT organization to deliver on massive scale, continuous real-time computing and secure systems. Training, from-the-source, it doesn't get any better than this.
Building on Core Classes
Certification for non-core classes requires observing the course for which the instructor wishes to certify. If the instructor holds a 95% or better approval rating and has attended at least one equal prerequisite course, they are certified to teach the class. If their approval rating is not at 95%, or there is no equal prerequisite class, the instructor must conduct the course in the presence of an evaluator with successful approval. Preparation for non-core classes does not include an Instructor Development Center class, but all other Instructor Certification Program requirements apply.
