CD-ROM Courses - System Requirements

Flash Requirements

You will be required to have the latest version of the Flash Player installed on your machine or browser, in order to play this CD ROM.

  • Must have Flash version 6 or higher (Flash 8 is currently the most recent version and is recommended)
  • Please disable any pop-up blockers loaded on your machine.

JDS / Windows 98 SE / Solaris OS Platform Requirements

You will be required to launch the index.html file in order for the course to launch. Follow these steps to launch the course:

  1. Click on the CD-ROM icon on your desktop, once it has been installed in your CD ROM player
  2. From the course files that are returned, click on index.html

Following these steps will allow you to launch and run the course from the CD on JDS, Solaris, or older versions of Windows.


Mac Platform Requirements

You will be required to run the Firefox browser. This CD-ROM will not function using other browsers. Follow these steps to launch the course:

  1. Hold down the Ctrl key and mouse click on the course that comes up (or any Flash movie). You will get a submenu.
  2. Click on the Settings menu item, which will bring up the Macromedia Flash Player Settings window, asking whether or not you will allow macromedia.com to access your camera and microphone.
  3. Click on the Advanced button, and a new browser window will take you to the Global Settings Manager at a Macromedia.com site.
  4. On the Website Privacy Settings tab, make sure that the local website is set for "Always ask" or "Always allow".
  5. On the Global Security Settings tab, ensure that "Always ask" is selected.

Following these steps will allow the Flash movie to play from the CD on the Firefox browser.
