SUN CERTIFICATION PROGRAM POLICY ON CANDIDATE MISCONDUCT

The Sun Certification Program (the "Certification Program") is designed to recognize personal knowledge and skill with respect to particular technologies. Sun has created a series of certification tests designed to objectively measure individual knowledge and skill with respect to a technology. The credential conferred by the Certification Program delivers its greatest value to you only as long as the Test is secure and continues to operate as a measure of personal knowledge and skill. Sun requires every candidate for Sun Certification to assist in maintaining the integrity and security of the Tests.

All candidates for Sun Certification are required to read and click through the Candidate Pre-Test Agreement immediately prior to taking a Sun Certification Test, denoting the candidate's agreement that all work submitted by the candidate in satisfaction of certification requirements (for example, test taking, submission of exercises, ands so on.) shall be entirely that of the Candidate. Read sample Candidate Pre-Test Agreement. Candidates may neither: (a) provide or accept improper assistance; nor (b) use unauthorized materials in attempting to satisfy certification requirements.

Sun requires all candiates to comply with all testing regulations imposed by Sun or its test administration vendor, in connection with taking a Sun Certification Test. Sun has a two-week minimum waiting period before a candidate may attempt to re-take any test. In addition, a candidate may not attempt to take a test more than three (3) times within any calendar year without written permission from the Sun Certification Program Manager.

The content of all tests and test materials are proprietary and confidential information of Sun. Candidates may not disclose or share any of the content of these materials; nor can candidates ask for, write (in any media), publish, or otherwise disclose any test questions or answers.

Candidates may not forge certificates, misuse their user ID or password in the Sun Certification Candidate Database, or misrepresent themselves as Sun Certified. Sun might revoke any Sun Certified status or other rights previously conferred on any candidate, and may permanently bar candidates from participating in the Sun Certification Program, if Sun determines that a candidate has engaged in any misconduct with respect to the Sun Certification Program, including, but not limited to the prohibited conduct outlined in this policy.
