Solaris Subscriptions: for Solaris OS only support. Solaris Subscriptions provide a flexible, cost-efficient choice of 3 software support levels - Basic, Standard, and Premium service plans. With a Solaris Subscription, you get a one stop shop for product and service with guaranteed binary and source code compatibility, access to updates and upgrades to the latest Solaris technologies, as well the expert support that you are used to receiving from Sun. Solaris subscriptions also provide limited indemnification for third-party IP infringement claims related to the Solaris 10 OS, to help protect you from legal risks.

If you want integrated hardware and Solaris OS support, opt for a Sun System Service Plan. Sun System Service Plans, part of the Spectrum portfolio, provide a combination of hardware service coverage, telephone and online technical support, and Solaris updates.

If you have programming questions, get help fast with Sun Developer Expert Assistance, a dedicated online, service for code level developer support, providing such help as sanity checks, workarounds and best practice guidance.

Applications will be reviewed and approved by Sun independently. Approval by Sun for systems does not constitute approval for Services. Services are available for additional purchase at an additional cost at time you purchase your system. The Sun Try and Buy Program is subject to the Try and Buy Official Rules.

Solaris OS version coverage: Solaris Subscriptions cover all Solaris versions supported under the Solaris product life cycle. Several features of Solaris Subscriptions are available for Solaris 10 only, as noted.
