PC02 Spec & Comparison Table

Include:

Definition

This component is used to display specifications or comparisons about products or services.

Usage

Used only on destination class pages where specifications or comparisons are needed.

When using tables containing several columns of data, this component should be used as one large table. This way, multiple columns are forced to always align. There may be instances were one sub-group has more or less columns of data than another. In these cases, you may use two or more tables to display the data. When coded one after another, they will still appear as one large table.

When coding tables -ALWAYS- be sure to correctly set ALL colspan values.

v0 Spec Data Table

Use this variation when a data group contains only the title header (Standard Interfaces row) with title cells (the left column), and one or more data cells (the right column).

When more than one data column is used for comparisons, the class "centertext" may be added to the TD class attribute to make the data text align center. This class should be used when the data is only several words to numbers. Larger data, such as an entire paragraph that fills the full width of the cell, should remain left aligned. To use this class change class="dcell" to
class="dcell centertext"

The use of an anchor such as "<a name="Interfaces"></a>" is optional, and is only needed if the top of the page contains a anchored list to jump to each group of data.

Width attributes may be added to cells within the data rows. However, their values may not force the table any wider than it is in it's unaltered state.

The table row with the HR line must follow each row of data except the last row.
