VCD01 Overview

Definition

Overviews are at-a-glance statements of purpose. They can introduce a website, an article index and anything in between. The language should be down-to-earth, avoiding marketing hyperbole and "fluff".


Usage

Use this simple component to create an overview of a function or a page

  • Overview paragraphs should not exceed 60 words
  • May include inline links or be followed by a "» More" link to a more detailed overview page
  • Must be the first component in the content area below the page title

Can be used on any page excluding DC-1 Homepage.

v3 Article Abstract Block, w/ Image

  • This variation demonstrates the use of a portrait image alongside the overview block. The portrait image must be displayed left justified within the body of an article/white paper (width: 161px (Max) 100px (Min), height: 220px (Max.) 92px (Min) followed by a full width horizontal caption.
  • This "block" should be a 50-100 word paragraph.
